Hey there everyone! How's the summer going? We hope you are enjoying the sun and good weather. Unfortunately we are having cloudy-grey skyes, and hopefully it won't rain much. Today we want to tell you about Downtown Market that will take place on the 2nd and 3rd of August in the second floor of Maremagnum.

 Esta vez la temática son los productos handmade, y podremos encontrar diferentes stands con artículos seleccionados con cariño y con un cuidado especial, donde lo que prima es el detalle y la exclusividad. También tendrá lugar la presentación de la nueva colección otoño invierno 2015, como siempre rodeados del mejor ambiente y música. Además, habrá actividades para toda la familia, y en especial para los más peques, talleres gratuitos de tatuajes de henna y de máscaras que ellos mismos podrán customizar y que tendrán lugar de 12 a 14 y de 16:30 a 19:30 respectivamente. 

On this edition, the main theme is the presentation of the AW/15 colection and the handmade products that have been carefuly hand-picked for you and placed in beautifully displayed stands. We'll find exclusive and selected products that surely you'll enjoy. But this event isn't only for adults, but Maremagnum wants to offer activities for the kids. There will be mask building and henna tatoos workshops, all surrounded by the best ambience and music.

Buenos días!!

Si ya nos encantaba esta chica, ahora más, pues se ha metido en la piel de Blondie y para cantarHeart of glass, en una versión producida por Bob Sinclar para H&M. 

Esta canción que ya está disponible desde el 1 de mayo tiene un fin benéfico, pues por cada descarga de iTunes que se haga, los beneficios irán para  la compra de vacunas infantiles por parte de UNICEF. 

No es la primera vez que la modelo y la firma sueca aúnan fuerzas en un proyecto musical: el año pasado, la brasileña ya versionó All day and all of the night, de The Kinks, para un anuncio de la marca. Este es el resultado de la nueva incursión de Gisele en el mundo de la canción.

Nos encanta la iniciativa!! Os animamos a que os hagáis eco de ella y participéis por esta buena causa!! Hurra por esta chica!!

Hace poco os presentábamos Downton Market, pues esta vez vuelve en su versión más chic y retro con su versión de artículos vintage.

We would like to tell u about Downton Market Vintage in Barcelona! Some weeks ago we told you about this marketplace, and here it comes again in their vintage version.

Este mercadillo, que ya tiene carácter fijo, cada mes tiene una temática distinta. Esta vez serán nos sorprenden con productos vintage que nos trasladarán a otra época. Nos morimos de ganas por ver lo que marcas como Belibut ( su calzado retro), los accesorios de Pulseras Kymonas, la joyería antigua de La Petit Margueritte, las gafas de El Gato Retro, las creaciones de moda infantil de Bastida o los bolsos y tocados de los años 20 y 30 de Croco Vintage nos proponen!

The market has a  different theme every month and this time they wanna dazzle us with vintage products that will take us back to the 20s and 30s. There we will find brands like Belibut ( vintage shoes), Pulseras Kymonas, retro jewelry like the one made by La petit Margueritte, Bastida (todler's clothing) and the bags and millinery by Croco Vintage.

Además, como ya sabéis, todo ello con el mejor ambiente y diversión, pues la jornada irá acompañada de música en vivo, degustación de comida delicatessen, os podréis tomar algo...y si queréis ir con los pekes de la casa, habrá talleres infantiles para que estén de lo más entretenido, pues cada día habrá actividades de globoflexia, pintacaras y de manualidades y se realizarán de 12 a 14 horas y de 16 a 19 horas.

Aztec Nails

Hola!!

El asunto de las uñas postizas siempre me había parecido muy incómodo y con un toquecillo hortera.

Sin embargo cuando ví que en Etsy había uñas con prints, dibujos y colores impresionantes...no pude resistirme!! Me enamoré de estas tribales o aztecas, que tienen unos colores preciosos. Pero además el print está muy de moda este verano asi que...mejor que mejor, ya tenía la excusa perfecta.

To be honest, I have never been to excited about fake nails...They had always seemed a bit tacky and uncomfortable to me. However, when I first saw the amazing nails with prints, drawings and great colours in Etsy...I couldn't help myself!! I fell inlove with these tribal or aztec nails, which have beautiful colours...and the print is quite on trend this summer so...I had the perfect excuse to get myself a pair!!

Aquí os dejo una foto del resultado, como podréis ver, corté mis uñas postizas para que fueran más cortitas, que es como me gusta a mi llevar las uñas...pero como son largas podéis dejarlas con la longitud que queráis.También os hago una recomendación de reciente usuaria: no ponérselas de fiesta, especialmente si prevees tomarte unas copillas, porque antes o después las perderás, y luego nadie te quita el disgusto.

Here's a picture of the result, as you can see, I cut my custom nails to a shorter size because I like to wear my nails short, they are quite long when you buy them so you can cut them into any size you like. I'd also like to give you a new user's advice: do not wear them out to party! The nails will stay on and be comfortable for almost any occassion, but probably not for late night partying and a couple of drinks...

Un par de amigas me han pedido que haga un tutorial de los peinados que suelo hacerme en primavera, ahora que hace más calor y nos apetece llevar el pelo recogido.Al principio me daba bastante vergüencita, pero al final me animé y hasta puedo decir que ha sido bastante divertido!!Aquí está el resultado:

TREND: FEATHER EXTENSIONS

It´s been a long time without writing here. How are you? I hope u are ok and preparing urselves for the summer! Today I'd like to talk about feathering (to add feathers to your hairstyle)  I like it very much as it is quite original, hippie and in a nature-loving Pocahontas way.

He decidido seguir el trend y he comprado estas extensiones en Etsy:

Puedes llevarlas para que te las pongan en una peluquería o hacerlo tú mismo. Yo he comprado algunos microlinks(las arandelas para engancharlas al pelo) y lo intentaré en casa. Ya os enseñaré el resultado cuando lleguen, en una semana o dos.

The ultimate diva: Lana del Rey

I would like to introduce you to my latest musical obsession (not like you are not going to know her, she's gone from 0 to huge in barely 6 months): the beautiful and intriguing Lana del Rey.

It is not only her beauty, her very very special voice, or her sassy, clever lyrics...she also has that "something" that reminds you of Rita Hayworth, of Lauren Bacall  and Katherine Hepburn. It might be the look in her eyes, the hair and styling, the overall style and tone of her music, or simply some clever producer's marketing (the same producer who advised her to go from Lizzie Grant to Lana del Rey), but whatever it is, we are all over it.

Can't help but to love her, and although everyone is talking about wether she is or not a fake, I personally do not care much, even if she is just a creation of the industry, an illussion targeting naive consumers...I am LOVING it.
